The Sustainable Healthcare Education (SHE) Network is inviting lead medical schools, deaneries and Royal Colleges to partner on an 18-month project to support implementation of sustainability learning outcomes in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching.

This project will follow on from the national consultation on priority learning outcomes (currently online here).

We are in the process of preparing a funding application to the HEA Collaborative Development Grant scheme - closing date 1 March.

This is an opportunity to take a leadership position in sustainable healthcare education, building on several years’ work and ultimately benefiting the whole medical profession. Partner institutions are invited, who will:

  1. participate actively in integrating sustainability across the curriculum and piloting teaching approaches
  2. contribute resources (in funds or staff time) - the HEA is offering MATCHED funding only

So far, the following medical schools have put themselves forward as partner institutions: UEA, Bristol, Cambridge, HYMS, Plymouth, Exeter, UC Berkeley (USA).

If your institution would be interested to be involved, please contact s.barnaATuea.ac.uk.
