All of us at the Palliative Care Sustainability Network are delighted to announce that five organisations have been granted Greener Palliative Care Awards, celebrating exemplary leadership in environmental sustainability across palliative and end‑of‑life care services.
These outstanding teams have shown that delivering compassionate, person‑centred care can go hand in hand with meaningful action to reduce environmental impact.

A huge congratulations to all recognised organisations. Your work continues to inspire the sector and helps embed sustainability into everyday clinical and organisational decision‑making. We'd also like to extend a special thank you to all the organisations, teams, and people who have helped with the pilot of this Award scheme. We've learnt a lot, and we have appreciated your support, patience, and hard work. We are continuning to offer support to those teams in the pilot who are working towards an Award level. And the bronze level is now open to all - hear more about this at our event!
We are grateful for the ongoing advice and practical assistance of the award’s supporting organisations: Association for Palliative Medicine, UK Health Alliance on Climate Change, Hospice UK, Sue Ryder. And of course the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare!
