Sustainable Respiratory Care Online Networking Event

Laura-Jane Smith

How do we reduce the environmental impact of respiratory care? We have significant challenges to overcome; greenhouse gases in MDI inhalers, the impacts of air pollution, single use plastic waste from procedures and PPE. But there are also many potential solutions, and a huge amount of knowledge and experience about these amongst the respiratory community.

Interested? Then please join us for the very first Respiratory Care Sustainability Network 'sharing hour' on Wednesday 28th June 2023, where we plan to discuss all this and more.

This session will include:

  • an overview of Sustainable Quality Improvement work in respiratory care currently, from Dr LJ Smith (Consultant Respiratory Physician and Clinical Lead for Sustainability at King's College Hospital London, BTS Trustee for Sustainability, and co-lead of the Respiratory Care Sustainability Network)
  • the opportunity to share your experience, ideas and feedback
  • time to network with others who are interested in making respiratory care more sustainable
