Hear from Cade Musgrove as he shares his lived experience of End-Stage Kidney Disease, long-term dialysis, transplantation, and how nutrition and lifestyle have shaped his journey

About the Speaker: Cade Musgrove
Cade is 27 years old and lives in Lydney, Forest of Dean. He works in Bristol as a Manufacturing Engineer for a well-known aircraft engine manufacturer.
He was first diagnosed with FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis) in 2014 and has been on dialysis for around 10 years, with the exception of a transplant in 2016 that unfortunately failed due to recurrence.
Cade now receives home haemodialysis four times a week for three hours per session, a schedule that works around his working hours and sleep routine, helping him feel as well as possible while maintaining employment.
Since 2021, he has followed a whole foods plant-based diet for ethical, health and sustainability reasons. He has experienced significant health improvements and developed a deeper interest in nutrition and lifestyle approaches in kidney care.

About the session:
Watch for an honest and practical discussion about End Stage Kidney Disease from a person with lived experience, in context of wider sustainability conversations in kidney care.
