Dear Colleagues,
The SUSTAIN-HTA (health technology assessment where a health technology is any type of intervention/product/change to healthcare e.g., public health intervention, medicine, device, AI, diagnostic, vaccine etc is the process that NICE undertakes for reimbursement, for example or development of guidance) Learning Hub is an integrated, high-quality online training platform on innovative HTA methods, jointly developed by academic institutions and HTA bodies to support HTA doers and HTA users.
The Learning Hub will contain multiple features, including a training needs tool to identify individual and organisational training needs and the related courses available within the database, and will host methodological guides developed within SUSTAIN-HTA and other projects. The training database will contain SUSTAIN-HTA-developed e-learning courses, as well as courses from external educational institutions and other platforms.
We developed an e-learning course addressing environmental aspects in HTA in which participants can learn the key methods and frameworks used to assess these impacts and discover how environmental evidence can be systematically incorporated into HTA. Building on this foundation, they also have the chance to apply and interpret environmental information in practical HTA contexts to support informed and sustainable decision-making.
The course is OPEN ACCESS and approximately 12 hours, made up of three modules: Introduction to environmental aspects in Health Technology Assessment; Methods for analysing environmental aspects of health technologies; Applying environmental aspects in health technology assessment.
Please get in touch with melissa.pegg@york.ac.uk for collaboration opportunities and we hope you enjoy the course.
Kind regards
Mel
