Here are a couple of useful resources for benchmarking carbon emissions. The Lancet has recently published Lancet MedZero which promises to be a very useful website. Its focus is not currently radiotherapy (at the time of writing it doesn’t know about IGRT, for instance) but for drugs and chemo-related things it looks like a good compilation of the available data, which were previously disparate and often incomplete.


 

Also there is HealthcareLCA | Data driven sustainable health care which is more familiar. This does include a section on radiation oncology, and is a very useful resource in general for anyone wanting to estimate the environmental impact of what we all do. It includes a number of metrics (for example, biodiversity parameters, and non-renewable resource use) besides GHG emissions.
