Hello everyone,

With an aim to reduce the carbon footprint of clinical trials, we are conducting a survey to understand trialists’ views on factors influencing their behaviours that will enable the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of greener trials. By greener trials, we mean designing and delivering trials without unnecessary and unjustified carbon output. We will greatly appreciate it if you could share our online survey (https://forms.office.com/e/fkeLD8HbMA) with your network and in your organization’s platform, newsletter or social media as well as take part in the survey yourself.

The survey will take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. All data collected in the survey will be confidentially and securely stored on computer servers maintained by the University of Aberdeen. Details of the survey are available in a Participant Information Leaflet (https://osf.io/aerm2?view_only=e179ef4f61b64fbda8c1878abdacfed2) or in the attached document. The closing date of the survey is 28th February 2025.

If you have any questions, please email myself at s.you.23@abdn.ac.uk. Thank you very much for your attention and support to the study.

Best regards,

Frank Sui-keung You
